Hello friends! It's been 7-days since we've talked... I've missed you. :)
I have a question for you... what do you call a mexican with a rubber toe? (Read on to find out.)
Today commences the start of Week #3 for my Hip-Hop Abs workout regimen -- I'm following a 4-week calendar. I got a little discouraged because my weightloss is fluctuating up/down, but I'm NOT going to give up. I am seeing results... slowly but surely seems to be how it's going to go. I'm not going to tell you how much I've lost because I'm afraid I'll jinx it... and by I'm not going to tell you, I mean, I'VE LOST 14 POUNDS. Tomorrow it could be 12 or 10 or 8 lbs... but today it's 14... so, we're goin' with that!
My "baby" sister had her dance recital Sunday -- pictures to come. She was absolutely beautiful, she is so talented!
Yesterday, Melanie and the kids came over for our weekly dip in the pool. It's the day I look forward to every week and it's my day off from my workout (6 days on... 1 day off) & Claire is out of school now, so my Mondays aren't so boring!
Did anyone buy the Eclipse soundtrack? It's got some weird tunes, but so the did the first & second soundtracks and I love them! I'm already loving it... more & more! Download this: Neutron Star Collision by MUSE. It's lovely, and I already know I'm biased... it's MUSE, helloooo?!! :D
... and what is TT?... Thrifty Tuesday, duh! But to your dismay, TT is canceled this week. Hopefully, I'm not breaking any hearts, but it may become a monthly thing instead of weekly. (See how fast I get bored with things?)
Design blog updates: I posted a FREEBIE (or two) on my design blog. See 'em here.
And in answer to my question (see beginning of this post if you've already forgotten...): ROBERTO! Baaahhhahahahaa. Thank you my Smila for reminding me of the best joke ever... and no harm meant towards any hispanic/latino/mexican persons! Anyways... ADIOS amigos!

Thrifty Tuesdays + Smiling 101
This week :: Thrifty vs. the Not-So-Thrifty -- Similar items, better prices! (See, I can be thrifty.)

Left :: Neiman Marcus, Fendi 'Peekaboo Tote' for $2,250
Right :: Target, the 'Hollywood Intuition Patent Tote' for $22.99
For those Twilightaholics out there (besides myself - DUH!) the Eclipse soundtrack is available for purchase TODAY. I'll be making that purchase once I'm at home later and so should you & you can do that here.
On a completely different note, I recently starting doing the "Hip Hop Abs" workout DVD program. One week down. I've done the first workout video part called 'Fat Burning Cardio' almost 10 times now and I'm kinda irritated. The videos are instructed by Shaun Thompson, he's awesome, but there is a girl named Tania who is in the majority of the workouts... long story short - she smiles.... and she smiles A LOT. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for smiling, but seriously... I don't care to see you smile while I'm suffering through it all...
So it got me thinking... maybe the workout would be better if I smiled... sooo, I smiled and it is better.
I'm here to attest to the power of smiling. Smiles are contagious and smiling in a moment of irritation and/or suffering really does make it a little better. So, smile and smile A LOT, y'all!
Happy Tuesday -- tell me about your summer plans so I can be jealous! :)

(And it really does last the entire workout...blimey!)

Thrifty Tuesdays
Has it seriously been a week already? It went by fast for me!

The items this week are a little more cost friendly than last.
Item #1: Found in the sale section of Modcloth.com. Only $4.49... what a steal! And item #2: a well-pieced photo book of pictures by photographer/illustrator/avid-blogger Todd Selby. Buy it here. I actually had the chance to familiarize myself with Mr. Selby's work for my photography class. He goes into the homes of other creative/"out-there" people (be it musicians, others artists, etc.) and takes pictures of them in their personal & creative environments. He also has a blog, where he got his start and where you can see a lot of his work and that is here.
Also, head over to my design blog soon, I'll be posting a pink-themed invitation freebie you're welcome to download and use!
Anywho, hope you're all just peachy. Happy Tuesday, be thrifty!
I've got a lot to update on, my Padre trip & my cousin's visit from California, but those will hold for now.
Here is this weeks installment of 'Thrifty Tuesdays'.

Thrifty Tuesdays
It may be more suitable (for the alliteration) to have "Thrifty Thursdays", but I'm a tad impatient, hence, the start of "Thrifty Tuesdays"! Some items thrifty... others not so much, but they'll be items I may die without owning... that's not a dramatic statement at all.
This week's capturing finds are features from ONE of my favorite overpriced locales: Anthropologie.

Enjoy & I hope you're all well, as usual.
Tata!
