20 Questions

I was tagged to answer these 20 questions.

Even if I didn't 'tag' you (at the end) should still answer them, if you haven't already!

Twenty Questions:

1. If you have pets, do you see them as merely animals, or are they members of your family?

Definitely members of the family.  Love me some pets!  When I move out... I'm getting a cat ASAP.

2. If you can have a dream to come true, what would it be?

I'd like to quit my job and just travel the world.  Explore cultures; live everywhere & see everything.  I'd like to learn to speak Italian, too.

3. What is the one thing most hated by you?

I hate insects... and doing dishes.  Hate!

4. What would you do with a billion dollars?

I'd make #2 happen...many times.  And buy lots of stuff for friends & family...and myself.  :)  I'd put a good chunk in savings and then I would buy Robert Pattinson.  Yep...I'm gonna buy him.  lol, It's completely probable.

5. What helps to pull you out of a bad mood?

Listening to Muse or any song with a good beat that I can dance & sing-a-long to.

6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?

I'd say it's a blessing to love and be loved, either way.

7. What is your bedtime routine?

I do very random things before bed.
It could consist of any of the following:  read some of the current book I'm reading, flip through magazines, do my nails, tweeze my eyebrows ... the normal-always-happening events - brush teeth, wash face, & put a movie on to fall asleep to.

8. What is your perfect first date?

Honestly, I don't think I've had my perfect first date.  Of the few dates I've been on, none of them were "perfect"... either the person I was with was less than entertaining or it was with a guy that had to be my date by default...  but I'm a fairly romantic & simple person, I wouldn't require much.  Good company, a nice dinner (please no disgusting chinese buffets... really?), and a movie.  I can be easily pleased.

9. If you could watch a creative person in the act of the creative process, who would it be?

There are a bunch of fashion/portrait photographers I'd love to shadow (i.e. Annie Leibovitz, Mark Abraham, Alexi Lubomirski, Todd Selby), I'd love to see Rachel Zoe styling someone, I would have loved to see Claude Monét paint one of his many masterpieces.  The list could go on forever.

10. What kinds of books do you read?

I'm big into magazines, InStyle & MarieClaire are my faves.  I just barely took a liking to book-reading.  I've never been an avid reader, I'm bummed I didn't discover I liked it more earlier on.  So far, I've more than enjoyed the Twilight series (many times), just read Water for Elephants (loved it!), and now I'm onto The Hunger Games.  I've heard a lot of good stuff about it, I just started it, so far so good!

11. How would you see yourself in ten years time?

Ideally with a family of my own anywhere... in Italy.  I would love to live in Italy.  So maybe in Italy.  Italy no matter what, even if I'm not married ...  I wouldn't mind Dallas, NYC, or maybe Seattle.  It seems dreamy there.

12. What’s your fear?

As mentioned before, insects.  I'm also not a fan of lightning or the thought of being struck by lightning.  I have a big fear of the end of the world...I have dreams about it from time to time -- frightening!  And another is being chased.  I get the worst anxiety even just being chased by my sister down the hall.  If I were being chased in real life by a 'bad guy'... I would for sure not make it. lol.... I laugh to keep from crying.  Next question, please.

13. Would you give up all junk food for the rest of your life for the opportunity to visit outer space?

Yes.  I am strangely intrigued by outer space/stars/other planets/possible other life.  It just seems so amazing & magical.  Being an astronaut is one of my weird dream jobs.  (I know, so weird if you know me.)  It will never happen & that's fine, but it would be awesome.

14. Would you rather be single and rich or married, but poor?

Married and poor.

15. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?

I try to work out 6 days (mornings) a week.  I've been getting back into the routine lately.  It sucks ... but I know I'll like the end result!  Getting ready for swimsuit season & Padre '11!!!

16. If you could change one thing about your [mother] what would it be?

There isn't a lot I would change ... maybe that she liked more of the music I like, so we could 'jam' more ... like Muse.  Even then, I've taken a liking to a lot of the stuff she forced me to listen to when I was a kid ... the Carpenters, Billy Joel, Sting... me likey (now).

17. If you could pick a new name for yourself, what would it be?

I like my name now, I think it has a ring of class to it, but I'm very over being a 'Leiataua'.  When I was 11 or 12, I wanted my name to be Laney, yes, like Laney Boggs from She's All That (really stupid movie, loved it circa 1999 though).  I think I used to like the name Elizabeth, but I'm content with Caitlyn/Caiti.

18. Would you forgive and forget no matter how horrible a thing that special someone has done?

I can forgive someone, but I also have a big issue forgetting.
I wouldn't say it's a necessarily me holding a 'grudge', but I probably won't forget if you did me wrong.  I think that's just natural instinct.

19. If you could only eat one thing for the next 6 months, what would it be?

Anything Italian.  I'm kind of obsessed with the scene/s from Eat.Pray.Love during her 'eat' segment in Italy.  Sweet niblets, that part is mouth watering.

20. Who are you going to tag in this game?

I tag you Stacy Dean.  And change #8 back to If you are currently in a relationship, how did you meet your partner? and #16 back to If you could change one thing about your spouse what would it be?

(Just cut and paste the questions and fill in your own answers!)
( A little something to put a smile on your face.  Happy Monday! )

  2. Great responses. I never knew you had a thing for Italy. My sister married a half Italian man. He went to Italy on his mission. They hosted a exchange student from Italy a couple of years ago. They also went to Italy last summer for a couple of weeks. My sister also studies Italian on Rossetta Stone.

  4. Can't wait Stacy! :)

Bonnie, I'd LOVE to live there someday. Of course, my only vision of it is from 'Under the Tuscan Sun' and 'Eat.Pray.Love' and 'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants'... I imagine (& hope) it's about that dreamy all the time.

Megan, I sure WISH it was that easy. lol I'll have to find another way until that billion dollars starts growing on our tree out front.
