I've missed this!

BEAUTIFUL day. Love it.

I've missed the Idaho snow and I was glad Dallas decided to channel Idaho today.

Took this picture to capture the moment. Enjoy the weird Dallas weather everyone!

Utah and Udaho Trip!

I'm attempting to take charge of my life a little more and more... it's really stressful. I've had everything done for me my whole life (more so than I thought) and kind of being "dropped" on my own is a little nerve racking (sp?). Anyways, along with being stressful, it's also kind of exciting. It's mostly life experiences I need to be doing on my own for future endeavors: i.e. taxes, own apartment, etc.

Anyways, last night I decided that I wasn't going to wait any longer to go pick up my car at my aunt's house in Idaho, and decided to go fairly immediately. I leave on Saturday night and will be back the following Thursday... I'll pick up my friend in Idaho and we'll make the long... LONG commute back down to Dallas again. It is such a tedious drive, but I'm hoping the weather will be decent enough (*knock on wood) that I won't just be freaking out the whole way back to Dallas! Anyways, I'm excited to see my friend Sarah and excited that we'll have fun on the mini-roadtrip.

It is SOOOO nice outside today, I wore capris, and I'm stuck slaving away at my job! But I cannot complain... I'm VERY thankful I have a job.

Did anyone watch the Oscars? I thought Kate Winslet and Penelope Cruz looked amazing and very much deserved their awards... AND it was an added bonus that everytime they showed gross Mickey Rourke in his seat, you could see Robert Pattinson RIGHT BEHIND HIM looking AMAZING -- as always! Yes, go back and check your DVR's now. :)

Just thought I'd give a little update! Not much else to say because not much else is going on, it's sad when the most exciting thing to happen in a week is the Academy Awards show, ha!

Day to look forward to in the near future: March 21st! Who knows what happens that day??? :)

Ta ta for now!

Merry Christmas Darling by The Carpenters

I blame my love for The Carpenters on my mom, I guess growing up with something makes you kind of like it more once you've grown up.  AND I've been so excited for Christmas this year!!!  The last couple of years, it didn't even feel like Christmas to me!  I'm excited for Christmas lights, (they light up ALL the trees on main street here in Rexburg during the holiday season... it's definitely my favorite), I'm excited to give presents, and of course, to get presents, and most importantly, despite the rolling of their eyes at this statement, I'm excited to be with my family in only 12 days.  'Tis this beautiful season!

YES, on a happier note than my post early this morning... I wanted to continue and write about my Thanksgiving break!  It was great.  My third away from home... a lot less harder because I  was surrounded by my roommates family, the Anderson's from Aberdeen, Idaho.

Here's what I did:

1. Rode four wheelers in a sunset... it was bloody cold.  Thank you, handlebar warmers.

2. Attended my second Black Friday adventure... 8 movies later and pair of shoes (you can't beat $2 movies and 99 cent shoes!!!  I just couldn't resist.)

3. Had a huge Thanksgiving dinner with Sarah's (my roommate) family!  My second Thanksgiving with their family!  They are amazing!

4. Saw some movies... Twilight a couple more times... totaling 4 times now.  Don't hate!  Four Christmases with Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn.  It was funny.  And I saw Ghost Town with Ricky Gervais.  That was REALLY funny... very dry humor.  It was good (warning: couple f-bombs)... in the photo below we're holding up numbers on our hands on how many times we've been to see Twilight!

5. Went to singles branch with Sarah, Amanda and Tiffany... where I decided it would be funny to go by a fake name... terrible idea!  Especially when about 4 people I knew through Sarah walked in unexpectedly, and I had to explain my lie.  The branch president said "What's your name?" Where I replied Anne (not having a fake last name ready) he of course had to ask "What's your last name Anne?".... I sat there bewildered about what last name I would say... only to give my real one when I realized how long I had sat there contemplating my last name, I'm sure he thought I was an idiot.  SO, you're now reading Anne Leiataua's blog.  I'm horrible... but it was pretty funny.

6. Went to a Dollar Tree with Sarah and Adrian (her nephew).

He is so cute!  We said... throw up the peace sign Adrian... this is what he did.

Anyways... Thanksgiving break was great... until the last day when I got sick... hacking cough, sore throat, news about my poor Rudy, ya know -- life.  For me on a much happier note, I have a Grinch countdown widget on my computer dashboard... counting until Christmas!  Only 23 more days!

Until next time.
